Tomorrow, November 9, is Carl Sagan Day, celebrated on the 79th anniversary of the birth of the great astronomer, astrophysicist, and author. With Dr. Sagan as guide, grasping some of the mysteries of the cosmos becomes an achievable challenge. We wonder what he would have made of this week’s hoopla about the possibility of billions of earth-like planets in our galaxy.
