Each Tuesday, pleasureinlearning brings you Tech Tuesday. Come back each week for more ways to become efficient and effective in your use of technology.
This is the sixth part of a series on Windows 8.1. You’ve got to make the transition sometime! Learning Windows 8.1 might as well be pleasurable.
Here at Pleasure In Learning, we know that an achievable challenge is a surefire way to engage an audience. Today, the audience is you and today you are going to complete a challenge.
CHALLENGE: Set your weather app to show your local weather.
It’s going to be really simple. First, open the start screen by clicking the button in the bottom left corner of the screen or pressing the Windows key on your keyboard. Next, click the weather block. You’ll set a few settings and then you’re ready to go.
To exit the full weather app, move your mouse to the top right hand corner of the screen and an X should appear. You can also drag the app away by clicking/touching very top of the screen and not letting go until you get all the way down to the bottom.
BONUS: Change the size of the tile on your start screen. Right click on it and use the Resize option.
