In between reading Hacking Point of Sale and Resolving Everyday Conflict, I’ve been reading Anne of Green Gables. The crazy part about these three books (besides the fact that they are about wildly different subjects) is that I’m reading each of them in a different way.
- Hacking Point of Sale – I’m reading this as an eBook, sourced through CourseSmart, downloaded to my iPad.
- Resolving Everyday Conflict – I’m reading this as a good ol’ fashioned paperback.
- Anne of Green Gables – I’m ‘reading’ this as an audiobook. I’ve checked it out from my local library to my phone for listening while driving.
How has changing technology changed your idea of reading? As Anne might say, “Do you have any scope for imagination?”

Thanks for a great post, Kristen. It’s nice to hear from another member of the “Hey, Reading Is Reading!” club. I love books; I love my Kindle; and I love my car sound system. And I’m thankful for all three. I enjoy a daily email from BookBub, which offers free and low-cost books from Amazon or Apple. The site’s suggestions encourage me to read books I might have missed. I’m currently enjoying Bread Upon the Waters by Irwin Shaw—never would have read it had BookBub not offered it to me.
So many books; so many choices. I need to listen to some books in the car, but I am afraid I would just keep driving if I was listening to a good part.
